The Gearbox model PS3 VF 146 is a planetary gearbox which being employed in MAPNA 2.5MW wind turbine, is produced at TUGA under the license of Zollern group from Germany. This gearbox main function is transforming power from wind turbine rotor to the generator with increasing the revolution speed. This gearbox consists of two planetary stages and one helical stage coupled with a rotor with diameter of 103 meter to produce electricity with 50 Hz frequency. Normally this device is placed in a nacelle at the top of a wind turbine tower.
