MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Co (TUGA) as a leading company in power generation industry is committed to excellence since the date of establishment in 1999. Implementing the management systems and standards contributes to company's high level of quality and competitive position in local and global markets.  Currently, TUGA has implemented the following systems.


Management Standards

TUGA is keen to benefit from the world-class standards and systems and stay up to date. The company implements and continuously renews the related certificates. Currently, TUGA holds the following ones:

          -ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems

          -ISO 14001:2004  Environmental Management Systems

          -ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management Systems

          -ISO 3834-2: Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials -Comprehensive quality requirements.

          -ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

Further, TUGA has a 5S scheme organization-wide since 2002 resulting in improved safety, efficiency and employee morale.


 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

In order to handle the complications of the large sized engineering and manufacturing organization through smooth and seamless flow of work and information, TUGA increasingly needed a comprehensive IT system. In response to this vital need the company began an ERP solution using the SAP system in 2006.  TUGA is the first company in the country to roll out the system.

The Business Object software compatible with SAP system is also used. The software visualizes performance indicators and generate the managerial reports to make effective decisions. Business processes, are also managed using BPM software. 


Business Excellence Model

The company has adopted the National Business Excellence model based on EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) which is an approach to continually improve and achieve higher levels of performance. IPHRD is the national institute responsible for holding excellence award based on the model since 2004. Through this model and annual assessment/self-assessment, we find strengths and weaknesses quickly, define and run improvement projects and assess achieving company vision. TUGA is amongst the country’s leading organizations and has received the Crystal Prize award along with only 4other companies in 2011 and 2015. Being the role model in the industry, TUGA has offered several benchmarking tours and workshops in HR, Strategic Planning, SAP, BPM, Technology Transfer, Customer Survey etc.
