MAPNA Group has received a final acceptance certificate (FAC) for the permanent delivery of the first steam unit of Sabalan Combined Cycle Power Plant in northwest Iran.

The certificate was granted to the conglomerate on November 13, 2023.

Located at the 35th km mark between Ardabil and Meshginshahr, Ardabil Province, the power plant is equipped with three steam units, each with a capacity of 160 MW and uses E-Type (E30-16-1-1×6.3) turbines as wells as Heller cooling towers.

Sabalan Bargh Omid Company is the client of the project.

With the delivery of the unit, MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction & Development (MD-2) has now received the final acceptance certificate for 115 units with an aggregate capacity of 17,834 MW. The second and third steam units of the plant were synchronized to the grid in February and August 2023 respectively.
