Azerbaijan Energy Minister Visits MAPNA Group

نخستین توربین کلاس F گروه مپنا به نیروگاه اندیمشک بارگیری شد

Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov visited MAPNA Group factories in the outskirts of Tehran on Sunday.
 
Mr. Shahbazov, who is in Tehran to attend the 23rd edition of Iran Oil Show, took a half-day tour of MAPNA Group’s production facilities located 40 kilometers west of Tehran.
 
He was received by Abbas Aliabadi, President of MAPNA Group, and the conglomerate’s senior executives.
 
MAPNA Group’s major products and projects, including the 3000-MW Rumailah power plant in Iraq and the homegrown MGT-70 (3) gas turbine, were introduced to the energy minister of Azerbaijan as well as the company’s activities in the upstream and downstream sector of oil & gas, including Master Development Plans (MDPs) for exploration and production, and procurement of advanced equipment for refinery utilities.
 
Mobile power plants, water and power cogeneration utilities, renewable energies and rail transportation were among other topics discussed between the two sides.
 
Shahbazov took a tour of MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA), MAPNA Turbine Blade Engineering and Manufacturing Company (PARTO), and MAPNA Generator Engineering and manufacturing Company (PARS), visiting the production line of F-class gas turbines, single-crystal (SX) and directionally solidified (DS) blades, and 4.5-MW wind turbines.
 
Azerbaijan’s energy minister praised the quality of MAPNA Group’s productions, and pointed to the conglomerate’s potential to be an active participant in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Shahbazov expressed hope that discussions would lead to collaboration in future.
 
Deputies Zakir Quliyev and Natiq Abbassov, Baku’s ambassador of to Tehran Bunyad Huseynov, and Homayoun Haeri, Iran’s Deputy of Power Minister, accompanied Parviz Shahbazov during the visit.
