The first steam unit of Parand Combined Cycle Power Plant was synchronized to the national grid on Monday, November 13, 2017 by MAPNA Group technicians.

Located 30 kilometers southwest of Tehran, Parand Combined Cycle Power Plant includes three steam units each with a capacity of 160 MWs, six heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), air-cooled condenser (ACC), 400kv substation and a 35-km transmission line.

A total number of 83 units have been synchronized to the national grid  to date by MAPNA Combined Cycle Power Plants Construction and Development (MD-2) with an aggregate capacity of 12,533 megawatts.
