MAPNA Group was awarded top Iranian exporter trophy on Saturday.
The trophy was awarded by Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri and Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari during National Exports Day ceremony held on October 21, 2017.
The 21st edition of the event was held in Iran International Conference Center in Tehran. MAPNA received the award for technology and engineering exports.
Head of MAPNA Group Communications and Marketing Directorate Behnam Haghighi received the award on behalf of the company.
Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri stressed Iran’s determination to diversify its economic partners during his speech in the ceremony. “Iran’s policy is to collaborate with different countries” he said.
Addressing the limits of the domestic market, VP Jahangiri called upon the industrial sector to engage in serious competition abroad, improve productivity and boost quality of its products. “Revenues from non-oil exports can help Iran’s economy achieve its developmental goals,” he said.
Expressing hope that the volume of non-oil exports reaches 50 billion USD from its current level of 47 billion, Jahangiri reported that government non-oil revenues were twice its oil revenues in the current Persian year starting from March 20th thanks to efforts by exporters.
Mohammad Shariatmadari, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade also spoke to the attendees of National Exports Day ceremony, urging Iranian companies to expand their share from the global market and increase the volume of their products. “Exports is our only path towards development,” he said. “Sustainable development cannot be achieved without increasing exports.”
Shariatmadari called designation of a single currency rate, reform in tariff mechanism and regulations as hurdles which should be removed to boost exports.
MAPNA Group had been awarded for its export of technological and engineering services and competition in the regional and international market also in the 20th edition of the National Exports Day.
